Support ARAN and come along on February 4th 2009

WILD TIME will partake in the protest against bloodsports on February 4th 2009 in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Read ARAN's original email:

Dear Supporter,

For many years anti-blood-sport campaigners and animal lovers from across
Ireland travelled to peacefully protest the cruel blood-sport of 'hare
coursing'
during the 'National Hare Coursing Finals' - Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co.
Tipperary. The finals take place during the first week of February and
generally attract up to 30,000 bloodsport enthusiasts. However for many
years now there have been no protests outside of the finals except for a
protest last February 2008 that successfully highlighted the immense
suffering of hares and the sheer cruelty of the "sport." The peaceful
protest garnered national media attention, including RTE and TV3 television
exposing the violence of these bloody events.

This year Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) and Irish Council Against
Bloodsports (ICABS) are teaming up to organize a gathering of animal
protectionists and anti-blood-sport supporters to protest the Hare Coursing
Finals. Please join us for the first national demonstration outside of
Powerstown Park in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. We simply cannot do this without
your attendance.

When: Wednesday, February 4, 12 noon sharp to 2 p.m
Where: Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary (Front
Entrance)
Contact: Please contact ICABS
or ARAN
for more details or to RSVP

This, like all campaign events by ARAN and ICABS, will be peaceful and well
organized. During the last day of the Finals we are expecting Ireland's
national media to descend on Powerstown Park to cover our peaceful event.
They have done so in previous years and we are almost 100% certain that both
RTE and TV3 television will attend in order to cover our event. In order for
us to take advantage of this rare opportunity for national media coverage,
which will help direct viewers' attention to cruelty of hare coursing, we
cannot stress how important your attendance is. Wherever you live in Ireland
or whatever you are planning to do on February 4, we ask that you please
make plans to set aside just this one day to attend this vital
demonstration.

Transport: We are hiring a bus to take our supporters from Dublin to
Powerstown Park and will be collecting members along the route. We will be
emailing you more details about this soon, so please RSVP so that we can
reserve a seat on the bus for you--and a friend or family member too! This
is an event you will not want to miss, as not only will it be a positive and
uplifting event, but you'll also meet other compassionate and kind people
just like you who are working to end cruelty to animals.

It's not often we make requests like this, but we must have a national
turnout at this once yearly event to help stop cruelty to hares who are
panicked, injured, and tortured simply for amusement, so please mark your
diaries, book your day off work, college, or school and be sure to stand
with ARAN and ICABS as we peacefully speak out for Ireland's hunted
wildlife. Together we can and will make a difference to end cruel and
barbaric bloodsports in Ireland.

Thank you for caring and more importantly for using your voice to help
animals!
